The BMW i3 has always felt like the car BMW engineers made when nobody was looking.
This 2019 120Ah Range Extender has travelled just 33,527kms and comes in one of the nicest combinations they made, Imperial Blue Metallic with the gorgeous Dark Truffle interior.
The i3 really is a fascinating little thing. BMW built a city car with a carbon fibre passenger cell, rear wheel drive and those brilliant rear hinged suicide doors. It was wildly over engineered, wonderfully weird and unlike pretty much anything else on the road.
The 120Ah gets the biggest battery fitted to the i3, making it perfect around town. Its tiny on the outside, surprisingly roomy inside, incredibly easy to park, beautifully manoeuvrable and genuinely fun to drive. You can chuck it into gaps that SUV drivers simply stare at.
But this one has another trick. Its the Range Extender.
Most of the time you simply drive it as an EV. But when you want to head out of town, theres a little petrol engine tucked away to generate electricity when the battery gets low.
Its also loaded with the stuff you actually want, including heated front seats, navigation, reversing camera, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic climate control, Bluetooth, LED headlights, keyless start, multiple driving modes and BMWs iDrive infotainment system.
